Art Build 1

As we gear up for the May Day 2017 march, we will be holding two days of creating beautiful art and visuals. Mark your calendars, and join us for two days of community building and art making where we will create posters, banners, signs and more.

People’s Climate Movement March and Rally – April 29th

Alameda County – Make Sanctuary Real!

What: Communities Rally to hold Sherriff Accountable to Make Sanctuary Real: End ICE collaboration, Prison

Expansion, and Militarization of our communities

Time: 8:30am -11:30am

Youth Walk out and Rally

What: Youth from 10+ High Schools will be walking out and standing up against the attacks on migrants!

1st walk out starts at Madison Park Academy on 105th at 10:30am and will be marching down West on

International

What: Youth Rally

Children and Elders Art, workshops and Activities

What: Children & Youth May Day Activities Are Organized By: Abundant BeginningsBoomshake MusicColorful Mamas of the 99%Rice and Beans Childcare CooperativeSama Sama Cooperative, and the Bay Area Childcare Collective.

After learning together and making art, this contingent will be joining the march from Eastside Arts Alliance to ensure kids & elders can make it to the end.  Activities will continue at San Antonio Park!

Climate Justice Contingent and Rally

What: As Climate Justice organizations prepare for May 1st March they rally in  front of CitiBank who fund Dakota Access Pipeline and many other projects that harm our mother earth

Time: 2pm

Location: CitiBank 3301 E12th St. Oakland

 

Oakland Sin Fronteras General Rally & March

Time: 3pm-4pm

Location: 34th and International

March Starts at 4pm

Route: West on International, Right on 22nd Ave, Left on Foothill, End at San Antonio Park

 

Ending Celebration

What: Migra Watch Training, Know Your Rights Training, Palestine Youth

Movement Art Exhibit, Trump Pinata Breaking and Closing Program

Time: 6-7pm

Location: San Antonio Park on Foothill btw 17th and 18th Ave
